I used KS bullet 162 grains, loaded with MRP powder ( 75,5 grains).
Coal 85mm.
Original Vom Hofe brasses.
960 ms, 4860 joule.
Estimated pressure is 4300 bar.
Not to use with High temperature, just for winter hunt.
All data without any responsability.

KS with this load works really superbly.
This Roedeer was shot today in the early morning in the Blatt.
Just jumped and falled down.
A few meat damaged, impressive terminal effect...

Does anybody know what is the twist rate in Mauser Europa barrel for this caliber?

Factory ammunition was fitted with bullets up to 175grs, so this fits most likely to 9" twist. But CIP says approx. 10" (260mm) twist...
I´m not aware if Mauser produced 7mm barrels in different twist rates, as the 7mm vH is rare I assume that Mauser used barrels with standard twist (9" / 220mm as is´t used for the 7x64).

Meanwhile I own one in 11" and one in 9". The 11" ends at 140grs bullets.

Definitiv von Borovnik gefertigt. Die Schußleistung ist sehr gut (zumindest die meiner beiden BBF) und mit dem richtigen Geschoß paßt´s auch mit Rehwild...

With 11“ twist e.g. 120grs Aero or a bullet like 140grs Berger are superb!
With 9“ twist I‘d recommend the mentioned 150grs Scirocco or even the 160grs Accubond. A heavier bullet works perfectly with slower twist and has advantages to avoid wind drift.

KS is a quite soft bullet, would be not my choice, I´d prefer something bonded...

it´s nothing for shots under 200yds. But in far distances the bullet construction will matched the velocity. Should be have the same effect on game like other softer bullets, like 120grs. Nolser Ballistic-Tip, or the old solid-base.
Best velocity in target for the light KS should be 2300-2500ft./sec.
